In an effort to cut back the outgoing mass of rubbish, this being an excellent proxy for measuring ecologic inefficiency and by implication, financial inefficiency, I’ve constructed a worm composting system out of two plastic totes.
I basically adopted the directions I discovered on an internet site.
The 2 gray 10 gallon totes had been $3.50 every (lid included) on the native walmart. We had to purchase a 1/4″ drill to make the holes within the backside. I assumed the dimensions of those are essential because the worms ultimately should undergo them. Looking back it’s in all probability not that essential. For the air flow I used 3/16, which we already had. The worms we bought on freecycle (the man at native nursery was clueless).
